Tyler Townsend is the managing partner of Townsend Wealth Management, an independent advisory firm providing financial planning and investment services to families and small businesses. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) professional and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Townsend serves on the boards of directors for the Georgia Tech Alumni Association and the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley, where he chairs the investments committee. He is a member of the Columbus Regional Health System pension and investment committee, as well as the Columbus Consolidated Government’s Deferred Compensation Plan Board.
In 2011, he co-chaired the Mayor’s Revenue Review Commission tasked with assessing Columbus, Georgia’s comprehensive revenue structure and submitting recommendations to the Mayor. Townsend was named one of Columbus and the Valley Magazine’s Five Under Forty for 2009 and is a graduate of Leadership Georgia, Class of 2013. Townsend is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
