Victoria Barrett is the Geomatics Manager at Columbus Water Works (CWW) and has been working in the Engineering Department at CWW since 2006. Currently she manages CWW Geographic Information System (GIS) and Survey Departments. Over the past 10 years Barrett has worked to develop a culture of locational awareness of infrastructure assets for CWW employees and customers through the development and implementation of GIS, GPS (Global Positioning System) and Asset Management programs. She coordinates with agencies in the community such as Columbus Consolidated Government, Fort Benning Fire Department and Columbus Fire and EMS in collecting and integrating pertinent data. Barrett has been part of CWW Strategic Planning Initiative since 2006 in various roles including team leader and mentor.
Barrett is involved with the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley Campaign every year, serving as CWW United Way Chair in 2009. Under her leadership, ‘Run for the Valley, Run United’ 5k, 10k and one-mile Tot Trot was organized and remains one of the top campaign fundraisers for her organization.
She is an active member of Richland First Baptist Church and has led teams in regional community events such as Relay for Life, youth recreational soccer, and Chattahoochee County Little League. Barrett participated in the Stewart County Comprehensive Plan, in collaboration with the River Valley Regional Commission. She also serves on the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley’s Friends of the Greenway Trail Advisory Committee in Columbus, GA.
Raised in St. Augustine, FL, she now lives with her husband and two young children in Richland, GA. Barrett and her husband own Barrett’s Tractor and Auto, a NAPA Auto Parts and repair shop in Richland. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The University of Georgia and her GIS (Geographic Information System) Professional Certification.
