Mission: This project provides opportunities for life-long learning for children and adults with a special emphasis on learning within families. Library branches within the CVRLS will offer families a variety of programs, events and activities.  In addition, beauty salon employees throughout the Columbus area will be engaged and provided with easy information to share with their customers on the importance of reading to babies and children, and ways in which the library offers family support.  Each salon will be provided with library card applications and monthly calendars for salons to distribute.

Stated Goals: Funds will be used to widen the circle of participating salons (at present there are six), purchase brochures and display cases for library materials in the salons, and offer prizes to salon employees whose work results in increased library program participation.
